About the Journal

OneHealth Plus Journal (e-ISSN: 3023-7378) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal established in 2023. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for the publication and dissemination of original research and scholarly work in health sciences and related areas. The journal welcomes contributions that address contemporary issues in human health, animal health, environmental health, and interdisciplinary One Health approaches. The journal is indexed in ERIH+ and follows established principles of academic integrity, research ethics, and peer review.

Scope of Submissions

OneHealth Plus Journal welcomes original and scientifically rigorous contributions from a broad range of disciplines related to health and the One Health concept. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, midwifery, nutrition and dietetics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, public health, epidemiology, biological sciences, environmental health, emergency and disaster management, child development, health management, and other multidisciplinary areas of health sciences. Interdisciplinary studies connecting human, animal, and environmental health are particularly welcome.

Types of Manuscripts

The journal considers several types of scholarly manuscripts, including original research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, and letters to the editor. Original research articles should present novel findings based on appropriate qualitative, quantitative, experimental, observational, clinical, laboratory, or other scientifically valid research methodologies. Review articles should provide a comprehensive and critical synthesis of existing literature and should demonstrate a clear understanding of the relevant body of research. Case reports should describe unusual, rare, clinically significant, or educationally valuable cases. Short communications may be used to communicate concise but scientifically significant findings, while letters to the editor may address matters of academic or scientific interest, including observations or comments relating to previously published work.

Originality of Manuscripts

Manuscripts submitted to OneHealth Plus Journal must be original and must not have been previously published in whole or in substantial part. A manuscript submitted to the journal must not simultaneously be under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for informing the Editorial Office if any portion of the submitted work has previously been presented at a conference, published as a preliminary report, deposited in a repository, or disseminated through another medium. Duplicate publication, redundant publication, substantial textual overlap, and inappropriate fragmentation of research may constitute grounds for rejection or further editorial action.

Language and Presentation

Manuscripts should be submitted in clear and grammatically correct English. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the language, terminology, structure, and presentation of the manuscript are appropriate for an international academic readership. Authors are encouraged to have manuscripts carefully proofread before submission, particularly when English is not the authors' first language.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word or another compatible editable word-processing format. The manuscript should generally be prepared using Garamond, 11-point font, with 1.5 line spacing, on A4-sized pages. Appropriate margins should be maintained throughout the manuscript, and the text should normally be presented in a single-column format with justified alignment. Continuous line numbering should be used to facilitate the peer-review process. Page numbers should be included consistently in the manuscript in accordance with the journal's formatting requirements.

Title and Author Information

The manuscript should begin with a concise and informative title that accurately reflects the content of the study. The title should avoid unnecessary abbreviations and should clearly communicate the principal subject of the research. Author names should be provided with their institutional affiliations, including department, institution, city, and country. ORCID identifiers are encouraged for all authors. The corresponding author should be clearly identified and should provide a valid institutional or professional e-mail address for editorial correspondence.

Abstract and Keywords

Research articles should include an informative abstract that briefly presents the purpose or objective of the study, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions. The abstract should be understandable independently of the main manuscript and should not contain information that is not supported by the full text. Authors should also provide appropriate keywords that accurately represent the main concepts, variables, methods, or subject areas addressed in the manuscript. Keywords should be selected to facilitate the discoverability and indexing of the published article.

Structure of Research Articles

Original research articles should normally contain an Introduction, Materials and Methods or Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion section, although the precise structure may vary depending on the nature of the study. The Introduction should establish the background and significance of the research, identify the relevant research gap, and clearly state the objectives or hypotheses. The Methods section should provide sufficient information regarding the research design, participants or materials, data collection procedures, instruments, analytical methods, and statistical techniques to permit appropriate evaluation and, where possible, replication of the research. The Results section should present the findings clearly and objectively. The Discussion should interpret the findings in relation to existing literature and explain their scientific or practical significance. The Conclusion should summarize the principal findings without introducing claims that are not supported by the study.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be used only when they contribute meaningfully to the presentation or understanding of the research. Each table and figure should be numbered consecutively according to its order of appearance in the manuscript and should be accompanied by an informative title or caption. Tables should be provided in an editable format whenever possible. Figures, photographs, charts, graphs, and other illustrations should be of sufficient quality for publication. Where applicable, figures should be submitted separately in TIFF or JPEG format, preferably at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Authors should ensure that all tables and figures are appropriately cited and discussed in the main text.

Ethical Approval

Research involving human participants, human biological materials, identifiable patient information, or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Where ethical approval is required, authors should clearly state the name of the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board, the approval or reference number, and the date of approval. For research involving animals, authors should provide information concerning approval by the appropriate animal ethics or welfare committee where applicable. The Editorial Office may request documentary evidence of ethical approval during the editorial or peer-review process.

Informed Consent and Confidentiality

For studies involving human participants, authors must ensure that appropriate informed consent has been obtained wherever required. In case reports, clinical photographs, or manuscripts containing potentially identifiable patient information, written consent should be obtained from the individual concerned or from an appropriate legally authorized representative when applicable. Authors must take reasonable measures to protect participant privacy and confidentiality and should remove unnecessary identifying information from the manuscript.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual or practical contributions to the research and manuscript. Authors should have contributed meaningfully to the conception or design of the study, acquisition or analysis of data, interpretation of findings, drafting or critical revision of the manuscript, and approval of the final version. All listed authors should agree to the submission and should accept responsibility for the integrity of their respective contributions. Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria may be acknowledged separately.

Author Contributions

Where appropriate, authors should provide a statement describing the individual contributions of each author. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data collection, statistical analysis, writing of the original draft, review and editing, supervision, project administration, and other relevant activities. The corresponding author should ensure that the contribution statement accurately reflects the participation of all listed authors.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation. If the authors have no conflicts of interest to declare, an appropriate statement confirming the absence of conflicts should be included in the manuscript.

Funding Statement

All financial support received for the research should be disclosed. Authors should identify funding agencies, grant numbers, institutional support, or other relevant sources of financial assistance where applicable. If the study received no external financial support, authors should clearly state that no external funding was received.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide an appropriate data availability statement describing whether the data supporting the findings of the study are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, subject to ethical restrictions, or not publicly available. Where datasets, analytical code, research protocols, or other supporting materials have been deposited in an appropriate repository, authors may provide the relevant repository information in the manuscript.

Plagiarism and Similarity

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism and similarity-detection software, including iThenticate and Turnitin. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge all sources. The journal's published requirements indicate a similarity threshold of 25%, although similarity scores are evaluated in context and are not considered in isolation. A high level of inappropriate textual similarity, plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, or other forms of research misconduct may result in rejection of the manuscript and, where appropriate, further editorial action.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of their manuscripts. Artificial intelligence tools may be used for limited purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, or formatting assistance, provided that their use does not replace the authors' intellectual contribution or responsibility. AI systems must not be listed as authors. Where AI tools have been used substantially in the preparation, analysis, or development of the manuscript, authors should provide an appropriate disclosure in accordance with the journal's applicable policies. Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content, including factual statements, references, interpretations, and statistical information.

References

All sources cited in the manuscript should be accurately and consistently presented in the reference list. Every reference included in the reference list should be cited in the main text, and every source cited in the text should appear in the reference list. Authors should verify bibliographic details, author names, publication years, article titles, journal titles, volume and issue information, page numbers, and DOI information where available. Authors should use the reference style specified by the journal and should avoid unnecessary or excessive self-citation.

Copyright and Permissions

Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission to reproduce copyrighted material, including previously published tables, figures, photographs, substantial excerpts, or other protected content. Any material reproduced from another source must be appropriately acknowledged and cited. Evidence of permission may be requested by the Editorial Office. Authors are also responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts do not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.

Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal in terms of scope, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, and basic presentation requirements. Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial assessment may be sent to independent reviewers for evaluation. The journal follows a blind peer-review process, and authors may therefore be required to ensure that identifying information is removed from the main manuscript submitted for review. Publication decisions are made by the Editorial Office based on the scientific quality of the manuscript, reviewer recommendations, editorial assessment, and compliance with the journal's policies.

Revision of Manuscripts

When revisions are requested, authors should carefully address all comments provided by the reviewers and Editorial Office. A revised manuscript should clearly indicate the changes made in response to the comments, and authors should provide a detailed response explaining how each substantive issue has been addressed. Where an author disagrees with a reviewer recommendation, a clear academic and evidence-based justification should be provided. Revised manuscripts should normally be returned within the period specified by the Editorial Office.

Publication Charges

OneHealth Plus Journal does not charge authors submission fees, article processing charges, or publication fees. Authors are not required to make payment for the editorial evaluation, peer review, or publication of accepted manuscripts.

Editorial Decisions

The Editorial Office reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fall outside the scope of the journal, do not meet the required academic or ethical standards, contain substantial methodological or scientific deficiencies, demonstrate inappropriate textual similarity, or fail to comply with the journal's submission requirements. Acceptance of a manuscript is based on its scientific merit and suitability for publication and does not guarantee acceptance solely on the basis of completion of the submission process.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record. Where significant errors, ethical concerns, research misconduct, or other issues affecting the reliability of a published article are identified, the journal may publish a correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other appropriate editorial notice. Authors are expected to cooperate with the Editorial Office in the investigation and resolution of such matters.

Submission of Manuscripts

Authors should submit manuscripts through the official submission system designated by OneHealth Plus Journal. Before submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal's scope, formatting, ethical, authorship, and publication requirements. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and have agreed to its submission to OneHealth Plus Journal.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, that it is not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere, that all necessary ethical approvals and permissions have been obtained where applicable, and that all information provided to the journal is accurate and complete.
